ISPS in the United Kingdom Refuse to Comply with the UK Gambling Commission’s Request
The UK gambling commission has requested that all Internet Service Providers in the UK should label unlicensed internet gambling websites by adding warning pages that would advise players not to visit these websites. This measure was planned to be executed before the new proposed internet gambling laws of the United Kingdom are implemented.
The ISPs decided not to comply with such request, claiming that it is not the discretion of an ISP to decide and advise consumers which site they should not or should visit.
